Playlists: Best Songs of 2012
As we close the first week of the new year (Yes! It’s Friday!), let’s take one more look back at 2012. We love music and discovered some amazing songs this past year. As official house DJ, I (Kari) have compiled a playlist of our favorite songs from 2012!
I don’t really like some of the language ( one word in particular), but I think the sentiment of questioning and struggling is something that everyone can relate with.
This song is so beautiful and it really is my musical testimony.
Wow, this song really gets at the core of how we should be living our lives as Christians. I think churches should sing this song once a month to remind us of what’s really important- loving people so that we can share with, not impede them, how to accept Jesus.
Cutest mash-up ever!!!
This song is so beautiful and is the perfect modern love song.
Classic boy-band pop!
This is a great song for going out, even if it’s just going out to the grocery store. Hey, attitude is what makes for a good time, not location!
We love the banjo! And sometimes you really need to hear it!
This cover is so heartbreaking and pure.
This song was our anthem for 2012 especially when I started testing for all my health problems. It’s very encouraging!
This is such a great song to dance to thanks to its Bollywood beat.
Great song for waking up in the morning!
A great reminder for the goals of our lives should really look like.
Our favorite album 2012 was Taylor Swift’s Red– it’s really an amazing album! While some people may criticize it for being too pop. It is more pop than here previous albums, but she maintains her musical integrity and style. This album is just another chapter of her refinement and exploration as an artist- a really good one!
Here are the tracks we like the best!
The title track is really beautiful.
Such a beautiful story song!
This song is just fun!
We love this track the most. Great Lyrics +Dubstep = Winning Combination!
